Job summary

Keys Education is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant for Rivacre Brook School in Ellesmere Port to support pupils with complex needs. You will work under teacher guidance to deliver learning activities and promote wellbeing in a trauma‑informed environment.

The role involves supporting social, emotional and behavioural development, assisting with resources, and helping maintain a safe, engaging classroom. A Level 3 TA qualification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• A committed and passionate view of students with SEND.
• Experience in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision (minimum 2 years).
• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist pupils with learning activities under teacher guidance.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development using trauma‑informed approaches.
• Help manage behaviour in line with the school policies and Staff Code of Conduct.
• Encourage pupil engagement and independence in learning tasks.
• Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of resources.
• Support record-keeping and monitoring of pupil progress as directed.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly learning environment.
