Job summary

A leading education recruitment agency in the UK is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant in Manchester. The ideal candidate will be Team Teach trained or open to ECTs, with prior experience assisting students with special educational needs. Responsibilities include providing classroom support, implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and maintaining discipline. This is a temporary, full-time position with a competitive daily salary ranging from £120 to £150 plus a commitment to safeguarding students.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Experience working with students with challenging behaviour and SEN.
  • Alternation Provision or specialist school experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and managing student behaviour.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
  • Offer reading and writing support to students who require additional assistance.
  • Support the teacher in maintaining classroom discipline and encouraging positive behaviour.
  • Provide 1:1/group interventions.
  • Monitor students' progress.

Skills
