TeacherActive is hiring a SEND Teaching Assistant in Nottingham for a September 2026 start. The role supports children and young people with additional needs and requires a patient, adaptable approach with strong communication skills.

You will work with pupils with SEND, including those with Autism/ASD and SEMH, to help them achieve their goals, while maintaining safeguarding and DBS compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND
• A good understanding of Autism / ASD, SEMH, learning difficulties and additional needs
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to support pupils with challenging behaviours where required
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people to achieve their goals
