Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd in the Uxbridge area is seeking an SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs, including ASC and non-verbal communication challenges. You will work with dedicated staff to help learners access learning in a nurturing environment.

The role involves one-to-one and small-group support, behaviour management, emotional regulation, and close collaboration with teachers. Immediate start, full-time, £85-£110 per day, with safeguarding training and ongoing CPD

Qualifications

Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly ASC, non-verbal communication needs or behavioural challenges.

Responsibilities

Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND, including those with ASC and complex needs.
Support non-verbal pupils with communication, using appropriate strategies and alternative communication methods where required.
Help manage challenging behaviour using positive behaviour support strategies, patience and consistency.
Assist pupils with emotional regulation, sensory needs and transitions throughout the school day.
Work closely with teachers and other professionals to implement individual learning plans and support pupils development.
Encourage independence, social interaction and engagement in classroom activities.
Help maintain a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment that meets each pupil s individual needs.
