Job summary

Aspire People Limited is recruiting for a Healthcare Assistant to support SEND Teaching Assistant roles in a Liverpool school.

You will assist children with complex medical needs, follow care plans, and work closely with nurses and teachers in a structured school setting with term-time hours.

The role offers sociable hours (08:30–15:30), no night shifts, no weekends, and a supportive team focused on safeguarding and student well-being.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children with complex medical needs
• Assisting with personal care and physical support
• Helping children with mobility, positioning and sensory regulation
• Working alongside school nurses, therapists and teachers
• Using communication tools such as Makaton, PECS or BSL
• Creating a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe and valued
