Job summary

Class Act is recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs in primary settings. Roles are full-time, long-term, and start ASAP, with weekly PAYE pay and ongoing guidance from a dedicated team.

Ideal candidates hold Level 2/3 TA qualifications, have experience in primary schools, and can build positive relationships with pupils and staff while prioritising safeguarding and welfare.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential.
• Experience working in a primary school setting.
• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND needs.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND needs in a primary classroom setting.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils achieve learning goals.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
• Prepare and adapt resources to meet individual needs.
• Monitor and record pupil progress and report to the teacher.
• Contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
