Job summary

Aspire People in Manchester are partnering with a welcoming primary school to recruit an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs, to help every child reach their full potential.

The role requires recent UK primary school experience within the last two years, a calm and nurturing approach, and strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children with SEND in a UK primary school.
  • Recent UK primary school experience (within last 2 years).
  • Calm, patient and nurturing approach with good communication.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
  • Support children with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to support learning and development.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals.
  • Help pupils access the curriculum with confidence.

SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary School Full-Time Long-Term Opportunity

Aspire People are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school looking to recruit an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant. The school is seeking a compassionate and patient individual who has recent experience supporting pupils with additional needs and is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential. The Role
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
  • Supporting children with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and communication difficulties
  • Delivering targeted interventions to support learning and development
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
  • Helping pupils access the curriculum with confidence

  • Recent experience working within a UK primary school in the last 2 years
  • Experience supporting children with SEND
  • Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
