Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting a SEND & SEMH Support Assistant for a supportive UK primary school in Manchester. You will help pupils access learning, build confidence and independence, and foster positive relationships.

The ideal candidate will have recent UK primary school experience, SEND/SEMH exposure, and a proactive, nurturing approach to support every child’s success.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a UK primary school (within last 2 years).
• SEND and/or SEMH experience.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive, nurturing and proactive attitude.
• Passion for helping every child succeed.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support.
• Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs.

The Role:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs
• Delivering intervention sessions alongside the class teacher
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and behaviour management
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
• Helping create an inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:
