Milk Education are recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Sheffield. The role focuses on supporting pupils with SEND, building trusting relationships, and facilitating access to the curriculum.

The successful candidate will have experience in UK primary settings, be patient and proactive, and contribute to a calm and inclusive classroom environment. This is a long-term, full-time position with competitive pay dependent on experience.

Formación

• Has experience supporting children with SEND in a UK primary school or similar setting.
• Capable of providing 1:1 and small-group support and adapting activities to individual needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, patient and proactive.

Responsabilidades

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
• Support pupils with learning, development and communication.
• Help children access the curriculum and develop independence.
• Provide emotional and behavioural support as required.
• Collaborate with class teacher and SENDCO to implement support plans.
• Adapt activities and resources to meet individual needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour and inclusion.
• Support social and emotional development.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
