Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEND school in Sale. The role is full-time and long-term with an immediate start, supporting pupils with PMLD and Autism in KS2 to KS4.

You will work alongside teaching staff to provide individualised support and help pupils access learning. The successful candidate will be patient, caring and adaptable, with experience of SEND and a flexible approach to meet diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Experience supporting pupils with PMLD and/or Autism.
• Patient, caring and resilient approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to supporting individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with PMLD and Autism alongside teaching staff.
• Provide individualised support to help pupils access learning.
• Encourage engagement and develop pupil independence.
• Support pupils to access learning and participate in activities.
