Job summary

Marshbrook First School is seeking two enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEND and deliver targeted interventions. You will work under the direction of the Assistant SENCO and teaching staff to help children achieve confidence and progress across Nursery to KS2.

Role involves implementing IEPs, supporting behaviour, and contributing to a safe learning environment with opportunities for professional development within a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEND and broader needs.
• Experience in EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2 settings.
• Passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organised, flexible and able to use own initiative.
• High expectations of achievement, behaviour and wellbeing.
• Works well in a team and contributes to school life.
• Committed to safeguarding and child welfare.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality support for SEND pupils across the school.
• Deliver targeted interventions, particularly in English and maths.
• Support pupils in Nursery, EYFS, KS1 and KS2 as required.
• Assist with IEPs, SEND support plans and intervention programmes.
• Encourage engagement, independence and social development.
• Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback.
• Support positive behaviour and a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Assist with lunchtime supervision duties (Position 1).
