Job summary

Step Teachers Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a long-term assignment at a primary and nursery school in King's Lynn. You will support pupils aged 3-11, including those with SEND, on a one-to-one and small-group basis, helping them access lessons and build confidence.

Ideally you have experience in schools and an understanding of autism, ADHD, speech and language needs or SEMH. You will work closely with teachers, SEND professionals and parents to promote inclusive learning and

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable.
• Previous experience in a school or educational setting is advantageous.
• Understanding of ADD/ADHD, autism, speech and language needs, or SEMH is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities on a one-to-one and small-group basis
• Assist the class teacher in adapting activities to meet individual learning needs
• Promote pupil engagement, confidence, and independence
• Support children with communication, social, emotional, and learning needs
• Help implement individual education and support plans
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND professionals, and parents where appropriate
