Job summary

Desian Education is recruiting 5-8 teaching assistants for a Northwich SEND primary school for long-term full-time contracts starting in the new year. You will support pupils with SEND across EYFS/KS1 and KS2, tailoring your approach to each pupil's needs and working with teachers and other TAs to promote inclusion.

Duties include personal care, using Makaton and PECs, implementing positive behaviour strategies, and collaborating with SALT, educational psychologists and LA officers.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils with SEND (ASD/ASC, non-verbal, SEMH) is beneficial.
• Ability to adapt support to EYFS/KS1/KS2 cohorts.

Responsibilities

• Support with personal care across EYFS and KS1.
• Use of Makaton and PECs to support communication.
• Implement positive behaviour strategies.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including SALT, educational psychologists and LA officers.
