Job summary

Anglian Learning is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join the SEND team at Sawston Village College. You will support pupils with SEND to access learning, develop progress and reach their potential, both in mainstream classes and through Compass House.

The post is permanent, full-time 32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term-time), Monday to Friday 08:15–15:15 with a 30-minute lunch. Prior experience with young people and safeguarding awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people in education or similar setting.
• Enthusiastic and committed to supporting pupils with SEND and vulnerabilities.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and carers.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support for pupils to access learning and progress.
• Support pupils in mainstream classrooms and Compass House inclusion provision.
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support pupils' wellbeing.
