Job summary

Sawston Village College, part of Anglian Learning, is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join the SEND team. You will support pupils with SEND and other vulnerabilities, helping them access learning and make progress in mainstream classrooms and Compass House inclusion provision.

We welcome enthusiastic, adaptable team players with safeguarding knowledge and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents/carers. This role offers flexible working discussions.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils in educational or similar settings.
• Enthusiastic and committed to supporting pupils with SEND.
• Ability to build positive relationships with young people.
• Adaptable, highly motivated and a team player.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support for pupils with SEND to access learning.

Anglian Learning is pleased to share with you an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join the SEND team at Sawston Village College.

Working as part of our friendly and experienced SEND team, you will play an important role in providing targeted support for pupils who may have SEND or another identified vulnerability, helping them to access learning, make progress and achieve their potential. You will support pupils both within mainstream classrooms and through our Compass House inclusion provision, building positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents/carers and contributing positively to the wider life of the College.

This role is open for flexible working discussions.

The successful candidate will:

• have experience of working with young people in an educational or similar setting
• be enthusiastic and committed to supporting pupils with SEND and other identified vulnerabilities
• be able to build positive and effective relationships with young people
• be adaptable, highly motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team
• have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
