Job summary

The Lincoln Saints Federation is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 1 (SEND) at St Christopher’s School in Lincoln. You will support students with complex needs and disabilities during term-time, with hours totaling 32.5 per week.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a similar role or willingness to learn and develop skills.
• Experience of working with young people with anxiety/mental health needs.
• Experience of complex and challenging behaviours.
• Experience of profound and multiple learning difficulties.
• Experience of using sensory strategies.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of complex needs and disabilities in the classroom.
• Implement sensory strategies to aid learning and engagement.
• Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality teaching and care.
• Assist with moving & handling if trained and required.
• Contribute to safeguarding and welfare checks as part of daily routine.
