Job summary

Manor Farm Academy in Lincoln is seeking a confident Learning Support Assistant to support SEND pupils and help them access learning. The role is on a part-time basis and sits on the TA1 LEAD NJC payscale with starting salary from £15,597 to £16,607.

You will work with the class teacher, SENDCO and parents, attend review meetings and help pupils develop socially and academically. A DBS check and safeguarding standards apply.

Responsibilities

• support pupils to overcome challenges and barriers to learning
• work collaboratively with the class teacher , SENDCO and the children’s parents
• attend review meetings and meet targets set within the Educational Health Care Plan
• support pupils both inside and outside the classroom to facilitate positive social interaction with peers.
• have good communication skills and the ability to listen to the views of the children
• work with multiple agencies where appropriate to fully support children’s needs.
• have very high expectations of all pupils and be a good team contributor.
