Job summary

Heathfield Junior School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide high quality support and targeted interventions for pupils. The role will involve working closely with teachers to support learning and behaviour in and out of the classroom.

Successful candidates will assist with pupils requiring additional help, support inclusive practices, and participate in ongoing training and development to enhance pupil outcomes. The post is on-site at Heathfield Junior School.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (grade 4 or above) or equivalent.
• Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant.
• Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organisation skills.
• Caring and inclusive attitude towards pupils, parents and staff.
• A high standard of literacy and numeracy.
• ICT skills to manage the requirements of the post with confidence.
• Have good practical skills and an attention to detail.
• Are willing to take part in training and personal development.
• Be highly motivated to support children with EHCPs.
