Envision Education is recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants for High Wycombe, with opportunities in both primary and secondary settings. The role involves providing tailored support to pupils with SEND to access education and grow academically and personally.

We seek caring, patient individuals with Level 3 SEND experience; related backgrounds from care, support work, youth work or childcare are encouraged. Must be based in or willing to travel to High Wycombe.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEND.

• Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Help pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills.
• Work alongside teachers and other professionals to support individual pupils.
• Adapt activities and resources to meet individual needs.
• Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Support pupils with their individual targets and developmental needs.

Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 8:30am - 3:30pm | Primary & Secondary Schools

Envision Education is currently recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants for schools across High Wycombe, with opportunities available within both primary and secondary settings. We are looking for caring, patient and committed individuals who want to make a positive difference to the lives of pupils with additional needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, Level 3-qualified candidates and individuals with relevant experience from care, support work, youth work, childcare or other support-based environments.

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access their education and develop both academically and personally.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEND
• Supporting pupils with their learning and development
• Assisting pupils with additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties
• Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills
• Working alongside teachers and other professionals to support individual pupils
• Adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs
• Creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Supporting pupils with their individual targets and developmental needs
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience supporting children, young people or vulnerable individuals
• Experience working with SEND is desirable but not essential
• Candidates from care, support work, youth work, childcare, residential care or similar backgrounds are encouraged to apply
• Must be based in Slough or willing to commute to High Wycombe
• Available to work 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

• Reliable, professional and committed
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• A Level 3 qualification or relevant SEND experience is advantageous but not essential
