Job summary

Envision Education is recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants for schools across Slough, with opportunities available in both primary and secondary settings. This role is ideal for caring, patient individuals who want to support pupils with additional needs.

Experience from care, support work, youth work or childcare is welcome; Level 3 qualification is advantageous but not essential. Must be based in Slough or willing to commute, and available 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Must be based in Slough or willing to commute to Slough.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEND.
• Supporting pupils with their learning and development.
• Assisting pupils with additional needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties.
• Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills.
• Working alongside teachers and other professionals to support individual pupils.
• Adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs.
• Creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Supporting pupils with their individual targets and developmental needs.
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils.

Envision Education is currently recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants for schools across Slough, with opportunities available within both primary and secondary settings. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, Level 3-qualified candidates and individuals with relevant experience from care, support work, youth work, childcare or other support-based environments.

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access their education and develop both academically and personally.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEND

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience supporting children, young people or vulnerable individuals

• Experience working with SEND is desirable but not essential

• Candidates from care, support work, youth work, childcare, residential care or similar backgrounds are encouraged to apply

• Must be based in Slough or willing to commute to Slough

• Available to work 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
