Aspire People is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs across specialist and mainstream settings. Roles range from day-to-day supply to long-term placements, ideal for experienced TAs or those with transferable care or youth-work background.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, assist with communication and behaviour strategies, and help create a calm, engaging learning environment. DBS checks encouraged.

Competenze

• Experience or background working with children, young people or adults with additional needs is desirable.
• Background in school, SEN, care, support work, residential or youth work is welcomed.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach is essential.
• Good communication and teamwork skills are important.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one is desirable.

Aspire People are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work across specialist and mainstream education settings, supporting pupils with needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties and additional learning needs.

We have opportunities ranging from flexible day-to-day supply through to long-term roles, making this ideal whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant or have transferable experience from care, support work or working with young people.

What you'll be doing:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support
• Supporting pupils with Autism and additional learning needs

What we're looking for:

• Experience supporting children, young people or adults with additional needs is desirable
• School, SEN, care, support work, residential or youth work backgrounds welcomed
• A calm, patient and resilient approach
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Confidence supporting behaviour and individual needs
• Team Teach, Makaton, PECS, Autism or other relevant training is highly desirable
• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential for all roles
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
