SEND Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Role

Job summary

TeacherActive invites applications for a Teaching Assistant at a SEND school in Wiltshire. The role is full-time and temporary, with 5 days per week until half term, starting ASAP. You will join a multidisciplinary team to support pupils aged 10-16 with EHCP plans and SEN needs.

The position offers market-leading pay rates (£14.25–£16.00 per hour, PAYE) and ongoing CPD through the My-Progression channel. A supportive staffing structure is in place for onboarding and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH or behavioural needs.
• Experience with Autism/ASD, ADHD, SLCN or attachment needs desirable.
• Ability to support pupils with individual barriers to learning and engagement.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Patient, resilient and consistent approach.
• Positive and adaptable attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
