Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a part-time SEND Teaching Assistant for a welcoming school in Exeter. You will support pupils with SEND, enabling inclusive learning in small class settings.

The role starts in September with ongoing, long-term placement and a PAYE payscale. You will work closely with supportive staff and receive ongoing CPD and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children and young people with SEND.
• Strong knowledge of a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
• Excellent behaviour management skills.
• Ability to adapt learning to suit individual pupils.
• Proactive, positive attitude and initiative.
• Flexible and willing to contribute to the wider school team.

Role

The school is looking to appoint a part‑time, long‑term SEND Teaching Assistant to start in September.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children and young people with SEND
• Strong knowledge of a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• The ability to adapt learning to suit individual pupils
• A proactive, positive attitude with the confidence to use your own initiative
• Flexibility and a willingness to get stuck in as part of the wider school team
