Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant for roles across Walsall and surrounding areas. The position targets candidates with care or support backgrounds who can help pupils access learning in specialist SEND settings.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support, build trust, encourage communication and independence, and ensure a safe, nurturing school day for pupils with varied needs.

Qualifications

• Care background with patience and resilience suitable for education settings.
• No prior classroom experience required, willingness to transfer care skills to schools.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs.
• Deliver one-to-one or small-group assistance to enable learning.
• Support pupils with autism, learning difficulties and complex needs.
• Assist with personal care, toileting, feeding or changing where required.
• Support mobility and physical needs following school procedures.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive environment.
