Archbishop Ilsley Catholic School is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join our ambitious SEND Department. The role focuses on supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in and out of class, working with the SENCo, staff and families to help every student reach their potential.

We value inclusion and proactive teamwork, with safeguarding at the core. The successful candidate will undertake an enhanced DBS check and help create an engaging, supportive learning

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
• Strong verbal and written communication with families and colleagues.
• Able to work as part of a proactive, supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Support students in lessons, individually and in groups.
• Assist teachers with preparing materials and activities.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff.
• Promote positive behaviour and independence in line with school policy.
• Support students' social, emotional, and personal development.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.
