Job summary

Teach South Sussex is looking to recruit compassionate and experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in schools across the Peacehaven area. Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school environment.
• Ability to implement IEPs and personalised learning strategies.
• Strong communication and teamwork to coordinate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
• Assist in delivering Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and learning strategies.
• Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and speech/language needs.
• Adapt activities with teachers to meet learning requirements.
• Encourage independence, confidence and active classroom participation.
• Promote positive behaviour and a safe inclusive learning environment.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents where appropriate.
