Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Teaching Assistant (SEND Specialist) for a permanent role in Bury, Greater Manchester. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to support students with complex SEND needs, helping them flourish academically, socially and emotionally.

The successful candidate will have SEND experience, patience, and the ability to adapt to various learning styles, while upholding safeguarding and right-to-work requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people with SEND, complex needs, ASD, or SEMH in a school or specialist setting.
• Patient, nurturing approach with high expectations for every student.
• Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and wellbeing of young people.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with learning activities tailored to their needs.
• Support delivery of therapy programmes and behavioural supports.
• Help students regulate, engage and participate in class activities.
• Maintain safeguarding and wellbeing across the classroom.
