Job summary

Harold Wood Primary School is seeking a Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with SEND. The role is predominantly a 1:1 TA with occasional group work, supporting learners with speech, language and communication needs, and other conditions.

You will work under the direction of the class teacher, collaborate with the SENCO and external contacts to support learning and development, and contribute to a calm, caring classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• Ability to build relationships with pupils and staff.
• Strong communication with class teachers and SENCO.
• Proactive in organising simple learning resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with needs.
• Assist with small group work as required.
• Support learning and development in partnership with external contacts.
• Collaborate with class teacher and SENCO in planning and delivery.
