Job summary

Five Education is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist provision school in Frome, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. This full-time role is ideal for someone confident with SEND and dedicated to helping children access education in a structured environment.

Responsibilities include 1:1 and small group support, assisting with learning, communication, and emotional regulation, and collaborating with teachers to support EHCP targets.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not available.
• Two recent references (last 2 years).
• Current DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply (cost £62.70, refundable after 20 days).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND.
• Support learning, communication, and emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to meet EHCP targets.
• Help create a structured, safe, engaging learning environment.
