Connex Education are seeking caring, patient and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants for flexible supply opportunities across specialist schools and educational provisions in Gloucestershire.
Whether you are looking for day-to-day supply, a few days a week or a longer-term placement, we have opportunities to suit a range of availability. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience supporting children and young people with additional needs in specialist educational environments.
You will be supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including autism, complex learning needs, communication difficulties and sensory processing needs. Some pupils may require additional support with social interaction, emotional regulation and developing independence.
We are looking for individuals who understand the importance of a patient, consistent and nurturing approach. You will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff to help pupils access learning, communicate effectively and develop essential life skills in a safe, structured and inclusive environment.
Previous SEND experience is desirable, although we also welcome applicants with transferable skills from care, youth work or other support-based roles who are keen to develop their experience within specialist education.
