Are you a caring, resilient, and committed individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? Teaching Personnel is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Northallerton.

Start Date: September
Position: SEND Teaching Assistant

• Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support for pupils with special educational needs (e.g. autism, speech and language difficulties, ADHD)
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised support plans
• Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment that enables all children to thrive
• Use a patient and empathetic approach to help pupils develop confidence and independence

Requirements:

Experience supporting children with SEND (in a school or alternative setting)
A nurturing, proactive, and adaptable attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent) are desirable but not essential

This is a full-time position with real potential for the role to become permanent.
