Teaching Assistant (Level 2)

Full time Permanent Post, 33.5 hours per week, term time only (plus 5 days)

Oakfield Primary is looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our SEND Unit Team. The SEND units have 12 children in our Key Stage One unit and 12 children in the Key Stage Two.

This role includes the ability to plan, prepare, and deliver quality interventions to groups of children with a range of needs. It will involve some 1:1 support and small group work.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Believes in striving for the very best for all our children and has suitable skills as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Has knowledge of working with children who have special educational needs and an understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment.
  • Can work independently when delivering planned learning experiences, adapting as needed and considering progress.
  • Values positive learning interactions that foster success and boost self-esteem.
  • Is patient, focused, and organized, especially in keeping records of children’s progress.
