Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant in Monmouth. This full-time temporary role involves supporting students with special educational needs in a nurturing environment. If you have experience and a passion for helping young people grow, we encourage you to apply.
SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Monmouth Hours: Full-time, September start, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm Contract: Temporary with the potential to become permanent Pay: £89 per day About the Role: Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? Axcis is partnering with a specialist school that supports students aged 3 to 19 with severe or profound learning difficulties. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in providing daily support, helping to create a positive, caring, and stimulating learning environment. What you will be doing: • Providing 1:1 classroom and personal care support to students with complex SEND • Assisting in the delivery of tailored learning plans in a nurturing, structured environment • Helping to create a safe, positive space that encourages engagement and growth • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to support individual progress What we’re looking for: • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (e.g., autism, ADHD, PMLD) • Confidence working 1:1 with students with complex needs • A calm and consistent approach to behaviour management • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to students’ individual needs • Commitment to promoting emotional well-being alongside academic growth • Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude • Passion for inclusive education and making a difference Graduates in fields such as sociology, psychology, sports, music, art and drama are also highly encouraged to apply!
