Kings Oak Academy is seeking a passionate Level 1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support designated children’s educational development. The role involves implementing learning activities and strategies tailored to individual needs, ensuring inclusive education, while working collaboratively with staff. Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Level 1) - SEND
Actual Annual Salary: £20,360 - £22,192 (Based on hours and working weeks)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Part-time, 35 hours per week Term Time Only (plus INSET days)
Additional role info: Working Pattern = Monday to Friday
Provisional Start Date: July 2025

We are looking for a passionate and driven Level 1 SEND Teaching Assistant to assist in the educational, personal, and social development of designated children under the direction and guidance of relevant colleagues at City Academy. You will support students by adopting relevant strategies and techniques to enable them to access the curriculum, engage with their learning, and achieve their full potential.
We are seeking someone who is committed to making a real difference in the lives of young people, both within and beyond the classroom. You will take responsibility for implementing planned learning activities and teaching programmes, adjusting activities according to children’s responses as appropriate. Working collaboratively with a wide range of academy staff at all levels, you will help deliver excellent educational experiences and champion the life chances of all children in our academy.
Through ongoing training and development, you will be fully supported in your role. This is a term-time-only position, ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting children with special educational needs and is eager to grow within a dynamic and inclusive educational environment.
