Job Details

Position: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire

Contract Type: Long Term

Pay: £90 to £100 Per Day

About the Role

Leader Education is recruiting a Special Needs Learning Support Assistant to work at a large SEND school in Harrogate. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting students with SEND and/or PMLD. The school caters to students aged 2-19 and prides itself on being a warm, welcoming academy dedicated to securing the best outcomes for its students.

The school’s latest Ofsted rating was "Good." The normal working hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. This is a long-term position following a successful trial period.

Candidate Requirements

• An Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
• Relevant educational background or work experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptability and commitment to meeting diverse student needs
• Understanding of safeguarding and child welfare
• Ability to support pupils in accessing the curriculum and participating in activities
