SEND Teaching Assistant

Harrogate

Full Time Position - Monday - Friday 08:30am - 3:30pm

£90 - £110 per day (salary depends on experience and/or qualifications)

Start: ASAP - April 2025

The School and Role

We are working closely with a school in the Leeds area that caters to a wide range of Special Educational Needs. The pupils have diverse needs such as CMLN (Complex and Multiple Learning Needs), moderate or severe learning difficulties, social, emotional, mental health needs (SEMH), or autism.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have:

• Ability to relate well to children and adults, and communicate effectively at all levels
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques as appropriate
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge and experience of behaviour management and restorative strategies
• Experience and comfort with personal care
• Having a driving licence is desirable
