About the Role
Teach Now is seeking an experienced Senior SEND Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 1 pupils while helping coordinate SEND provision across a welcoming primary school in Barnet.
Working closely with the SENCO, teachers and senior leaders, you will combine direct pupil support with mentoring and team coordination. You will model effective practice, share strategies with colleagues and help maintain consistent approaches to behaviour, emotional regulation and inclusion.
You will also support children aged five to seven during periods of significant emotional distress or challenging behaviour, using agreed de-escalation strategies to help them regulate and return to learning.
There is scope to contribute to the schools developing SEND alternative provision, making this a strong opportunity for an experienced SEND professional ready to take on greater responsibility.
