Job summary

Career Teachers is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs and SEMH in Sutton primary schools. You will provide one-to-one and small group support, assist teachers with differentiated lessons and help pupils build independence, confidence and social skills.

• Experience working with children in a school or SEND setting is desirable.
• Patient, caring and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language needs and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
