SEND Teaching Assistant - Chichester

In this role, you won’t just be supporting learning—you’ll be helping children find their voice, their confidence, and their place in the world. Contract: Full time – September 2025 start

Salary: £80 - £100 per day

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, under the guidance of class teachers and the SENCO
  • Helping to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
  • Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, parents/carers, and external professionals
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and communication skills in learners

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Has experience working with children with SEND (particularly ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech & language needs)
  • Is patient, empathetic and resilient with a strong sense of humour
  • Communicates clearly and effectively
  • Can work flexibly and adapt to the needs of individual pupil
  • Hold classroom support qualifications (desirable)
