Job Title: Part-Time Teaching Assistant Mornings Only
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Part-Time, Permanent (Mornings Only)
Start Date: Immediate or September 2025

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Bournemouth, working mornings only.

About the Role

As a morning-only Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with class teachers and therapists to support students in their learning and development. You ll assist with morning routines, deliver targeted interventions, and help create a calm and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities of Part-Time Teaching Assistant (TA)

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEND in small groups or one-on-one
  • Assist with morning transitions and classroom routines
  • Support the implementation of EHCPs and individual learning plans
  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievements and challenges

Requirements for Part-Time Teaching Assistant (TA)

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEND (desirable)
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
