Job summary

Stanton Primary School in Bury St Edmunds is recruiting a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support learning in our SEND unit. You will work closely with the class teacher to prepare lessons, assist pupils during continuous provision, and help create a calm, inclusive environment where every child can reach their full potential.

This role supports pupils with a range of needs, including English as an additional language, and offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to our inclusive

• Salary: £25,185 - £25,989 per annum (Dependent on qualifications and experience)
• Actual Salary: £16,885 - £17,428 per annum

Working closely with the class teacher, you will help prepare lessons, assist pupils during continuous provision, and contribute to a calm, inclusive environment where every child feels safe, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

In this role, you’ll support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, as well as those with English as an Additional Language, helping them progress both academically and socially. You will also have the opportunity to work across the wider school, ensuring that all children can access learning and take pride in their achievements.
