Job summary

Knowle DGE Academy in Bristol is seeking a passionate teacher to join our SEND-focused team. You will deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stage 1-3, support the academic, social, emotional and mental health needs of pupils and create engaging, inclusive learning experiences.

The successful candidate will spend the first year teaching within Mayhill and providing cover across the academy, with safeguarding responsibilities and collaboration with a range of professionals to support pupil

Qualifications

• Delivering high-quality teaching across core and foundation subjects.
• Creating an inclusive learning environment to support pupil progress.

Responsibilities

• Delivering excellent teaching and learning across core and foundation subjects.
• Creating an inclusive and well-organised learning environment.
• Supporting pupil needs including PSPs, PLIMs and EHCPs where appropriate.
• Using assessment to inform teaching and plan interventions.
• Monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback to pupils.
• Collaborating with colleagues, Learning Facilitators and external professionals.
• Liaising with teachers, tutors, psychologists, speech and language therapists and other colleagues.
• Contributing to academy improvement and safeguarding compliance.
