Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to work across Rochdale in specialist and mainstream settings. You will create engaging, inclusive lessons and support pupils with additional needs, including autism and SEMH, to help them reach their full potential.

The role offers flexible full-time, part-time and long-term opportunities, ongoing CPD, and a supportive education consultant. You will collaborate with TAs, SENCOs, parents and professionals to deliver tailored learning.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience in SEND or SEMH settings.
• Experience with complex needs including autism or challenging behaviour.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Passion for helping children reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to pupils' needs.
• Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, PMLD, complex SEND and SEMH.
• Develop and implement IEPs and personalised learning strategies.
• Support emotional regulation, challenging behaviour, anxiety and depression.
• Create a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching approaches.
• Collaborate with TAs, SENCOs, parents and other professionals.
• Promote independence, communication and social development.
