Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking passionate SEND & SEMH teachers to join a Trust in Sheffield on a full- and part-time basis. Roles involve teaching pupils with SEND, SEMH, ASD, SLD, MLD and other needs within specialist settings.

You will plan differentiated lessons, support students academically and personally, and work with teaching assistants, therapists and pastoral teams. QTS preferred; DBS check required.

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS preferred, experience with SEND will be considered
• Experience teaching pupils with SEND, SEMH, ASD, SLD or additional needs
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• DBS check (Enhanced) or willingness to apply for one via Connex Education

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for individual pupil needs
• Support pupils with SEND and SEMH to achieve academically and personally
• Create a positive, structured and nurturing classroom environment
• Use adaptive teaching strategies to support engagement and progress
• Manage behaviour positively and consistently per school policies
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, pastoral teams and parents/carers
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback and adapting support as required
