Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking a SEND Teacher for long-term supply across Mildenhall and surrounding areas. You will support pupils with SEND in mainstream and specialist provisions, tailoring lessons to EHCP targets and collaborating with SENCOs to ensure high-quality provision.

Ideal candidates hold QTS or equivalent, with experience across different school environments, and a commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent required.
• Experience with children with SEND in mainstream or specialist settings.
• Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills as a SEND Teacher.
• Flexible, reliable, and confident working across different schools.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to pupils with SEND across various schools.
• Adapt lessons to meet individual needs and EHCP targets.
• Collaborate with support staff and SENCOs to ensure effective provision.
• Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment.
• Provide feedback and contribute to pupil progress reviews.
• Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies consistently.
