Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking a SEND Teacher for long-term supply across Huntingdon and surrounding areas, starting as soon as possible. You’ll support pupils with diverse needs in mainstream and specialist provisions, helping to create inclusive and engaging learning environments.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is required, with SEND experience. You’ll work across different schools, with weekly PAYE pay and a supportive recruitment service from Step Teachers.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience working with children with SEND in mainstream or specialist settings.
• Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills as a SEND Teacher.
• Flexible, reliable, and confident working across different schools.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to pupils with SEND across various schools.
• Adapt lessons to meet individual needs and EHCP targets.
• Collaborate with support staff and SENCOs to ensure effective provision.
• Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment.
• Provide feedback and contribute to pupil progress reviews.
• Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies consistently.
