Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking SEND teachers for long-term supply across Ely and surrounding areas, starting as soon as possible. You will support pupils with diverse SEND needs in mainstream and specialist provisions, helping create inclusive learning environments.

Ideal candidates hold QTS or equivalent, have SEND experience, and can adapt lessons to EHCP targets. You will collaborate with SENCOs, maintain safe classrooms, and uphold safeguarding policies across schools.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience working with children with SEND in mainstream or specialist settings.
• Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Flexible, reliable, and confident working across different schools.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to pupils with SEND across various schools.
• Adapt lessons to meet individual needs and EHCP targets.
• Collaborate with support staff and SENCOs to ensure effective provision.
• Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment.
• Provide feedback and contribute to pupil progress reviews.
• Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies consistently.
