Primary SEND Teacher required in Southampton

Pay: to scale M1-M6

Start – January 2025

Full time hours

Have you got experience of working with children with diverse and complex physical needs? Do you relish a challenge and a chance to make a real difference? Would you like extra CPD training in therapeutic interventions?

About the school:

• Specialist school that works with children with physical and complex difficulties
• Renowned for working therapeutically and academically with children to support and help them thrive
• Excellent resources to support children such as sensory rooms and specialist ICT and food technology resources
• Each child has an EHCP to target needs and areas to be supported in order to encourage development and increased independence

Key responsibilities:

• Regular work in an Ofsted rated Good School where the children’s wellbeing and learning is at the heart of every decision
• Plan, mark and assess with children with diverse needs (PPA time included)
• Differentiate according to need
• Be empathetic, set high expectations and have knowledge of regulation techniques

What we ask from you?

Our service is free of charge but all we ask is that you are compliant with the Department for Education guidelines and you:

- Have a current DBS on the update service or are prepared to obtain one

- Hold a teaching qualification recognised in the UK

- Are a newly qualified or experienced teacher
