Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a welcoming specialist school in Darlington to recruit a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher. The successful candidate will support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, delivering engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

The role requires planning and delivering differentiated lessons, adapting resources, monitoring progress and collaborating with staff, families and other professionals to foster

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status, QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Previous experience teaching or supporting pupils with SEND.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to differentiate lessons effectively.
• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
