SEND Teacher – SEMH & ASC
Location: Multi-site provision - Based in the Harrogate area - Pay based on experience and qualifications

We’re working with a Good to Outstanding specialist setting supporting pupils with SEMH and ASC across multiple sites near Harrogate. No two days are the same, and that’s exactly how we like it.
About the role:
You’ll be teaching students with diverse needs—so flexibility, patience, and a sense of humour are essential. Your week might include a mix of whole class lessons, small group work, and 1:1 interventions. You'll have the chance to build real, lasting relationships and help young people build confidence and life skills.
What you’ll be doing:
Planning and delivering creative, adaptable lessons that meet varied needs
Creating a safe, engaging space where students can thrive
Teaching practical strategies pupils can use beyond the classroom
Providing regular assessment and meaningful feedback
Supporting behaviour calmly and constructively
Collaborating with the wider school team to make a real impact
You’ll be great if you:
Hold QTS or are an ECT with SEND placement experience
Have taught across Primary, Secondary, or vocational subjects
Know your way around behaviour support (Team Teach training? Even better!)
Are confident teaching in SEND schools, PRUs, or alternative provisions
Understand how to support pupils with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, or complex needs
Can commute between sites and bring consistency to your teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
